NEW ALBUM, SINGLE + LOGO ARTWORK : adele - 25 + hello

Ms. Adkins is back! You won't have escaped the major Adele news the past few days, she's back with a follow up to her mammoth second album '21'. The third release is titled '25' and the lead single comes in the form of 'Hello'. Here's the album art...

While the artwork features no text, all across her social media Adele's new logo has appeared. Check it out below:

NEW ALBUM, LIMITED EDITION & SINGLE ARTWORK : kylie - kiss me once (album & limited edition vinyl boxset) & into the blue

Now, as loyal followers of this blog may know - simonsez is an avid fan of some Kylie artwork. Like really REALLY. So when a new Kylie era begins, you know I have some high standards for her to meet ;) So dive in below to Ms. Minogue's eleventh release...

It is titled 'Kiss Me Once' and the artwork is giving me hints of Christina's 'Bionic', with all it's red-lipstick-sex-in-the-shower realness. I'm liking it a lot!

AND you know I'm always sold on a special, limited edition release of an album :D:D and this one will not disappoint! The limited edition run will include:

- 12" vinyl and CD version of the album

- 5 x 12" art prints - featuring an exclusive image from the album photoshoot and a lifesize Kylie lip print (EEEE!)

- 12" sticker sheet of lip prints

- (What I'm most excited for!) A 'faux window' featuring waterdrops and the album title, so you can recreate the album cover...get that rep lipstick ready!

- Also, 100 will randomly be selected and signed by the 5ft diva herself!

- Due to major demand the run will now be 3,500 and each one will have a hand numbered print included (probably the image that is exclusive to the boxset)

Not done yet on this Kylie extravanganza - there's the single artwork to go at yet! Below is 'Into The Blue', the first offering from the new era and it is euphoric bliss from start to finish. It has elements of a mermaid (almost like when Ariel first gets her legs and fashions a garment out of an old ships sail... but better!).

Also we get a glimpse of a new logo from this album, still keeping elements of the pillar effect that the 'Aphrodite' album used - love it! Check out a higher quality version below:

Kylie sent out an image on her Instagram account of her holding the single's promo CD and the artwork appears to be altered, focusing more on the handwritten type...I hope they haven't let go of the new 'Kylie' logo :(

NEW SINGLE ARTWORK & PROMO PIC : katy perry - roar

Another pop comeback that I'm all the way here for is Ms. Katy Perry's. Slowly revealing teasers for the past two weeks (who else is smelling a Gaga/Perry face off in the coming months?) featuring Katy burning the California Gurls blue wig and laying to rest the candy boobed tour costume - I think she's taking us back to those stripped back early days :D

This promo image popped up as well - featuring the album's title 'Prism' (the title which was confirmed by a 30 foot long gold truck travelling around LA, announcing her new release). I wonder if Ke$ha is feeling urked that her logo is being a lil swagger jacked?...

NEW SINGLE ARTWORK & PROMO PIC : lady gaga - applause

SO! simonsez has been majorly slack the past couple of months...oops! Blame it on me finishing Uni, moving home, looking for jobs and gettin' myself a mans :P As always, the pop music world doesn't stop turning - so there is A LOT to catch up with and what better way to start then with a Gaga post....

Gargs set the net a buzzin' the last couple of weeks by slowly dropping a steady stream of promo images that would get the little monsters slobbering for the 'ARTPOP' era. Above is the cover for the album's first single and here is an image of Lady G working on creating the sad clown/Batman's Joker masterpiece:

The collection of promo images revealed so far are pretty interesting too, giving hints at what to expect from the new era. Futuristic, lots of technology nods and big hair...what else could you want??

JT continues that "suit n tie shit" with good pal Jay-Z for the mutedly suave poster for up coming summer tour 'Legends Of The Summer'. You like?

Today saw an image emerge that could be the first promo picture for King B's next step towards world domination...tentatively titled 'The Mrs. Carter Show : World Tour'! She said she has a big announcement after her Superbowl performance tomorrow...who thinks it'll be tour dates??

NEW PROMO PICS & BACK COVER ARTWORK : keyshia cole - woman to woman

Today saw Keyshia revealing the promo images for her latest release 'Woman To Woman' - which all hold a really interesting twist... Ms. Cole appears to be giving a nod to her four previous albums' artworks, with famed photographer Derek Blanks having her pose alongside herself styled to look like each era. Check them out below!

Here she is rocking the original hood girl look that we all fell in love with - from her debut album 'The Way It Is':

The short black 'do from third album 'A Different Me'...

Key redid her heart-shaped lipstick to capture the look from underrated fourth album 'Calling All Hearts'...

And the short, blonde and curly look from sophomore (and personal favourite) release 'Just Like You' gets pride of place as the album's back cover artwork!

Loving this concept! Originally I had thought the album's title referred to a conversation between two women (especially since the title track from the release features Ashanti) - but these concept photographs make me think she is going for the idea of a woman growing into an even wiser woman. Anyone who has listened to a Keyshia Cole album knows she pours a helluva lot of emotion into it, from her debut to present day, but she is honest about the fact she is always growing and learning.

Really proud of Keyshia for stepping up her concepts, ideas and visuals this era (see: artworks and music videos), as a fan you can really see her artistic growth and it is great to witness her projects matching the quality she holds in her musical talent and ability! Bring on 'Woman To Woman'...

After that godawful Destiny's Child design disaster post, we can now move onto something with a more positive note - well for at least 1/3 of the group... Ms. Kelly is slowly gearing up for the unveiling of her 4th album era and today saw her release new promo pics (killing it in black and white!) with one of them featuring a new "KR" logo - check it below, simonsez approves!

UPDATE : Kelly has announced the title of the new album will be 'Year Of The Woman' and has updated her website to include a HQ version of the logo:

NEW PROMO PIC : aaliyah posthumous album

Now if you surf through music blogs as much as I do, I'm sure you'll have heard all the chit-chat about the up coming posthumous Aaliyah album (which will feature use of b-sides and unreleased tracks and heavy input from long time fan Drake). A single has already surfaced ('Enough Said') with an artwork also - now, I'm unsure if this is a single or album artwork, so until I'm more certain I'm leaving it as a promo pic.

NEW PROMO PIC & LOGO ARTWORK : mutya keisha siobhan

AWWWMAAAGAWWWD! An exciting day in the world of pop, that is for sure! So the original Sugababes members (Origibabes as the internet has come to christen them...) have finally announced their reunion and I couldn't be more ecstatic! So here is what we know already:

The girls (who obviously can't use the Sugababes name) have decided to keep it simple and elegant and name themselves... Mutya Keisha Siobhan. Keeping their elements of individuality, but definitely standing together excited for the future!

The girls have released two promo images (shot by fashion photographer Paul Scala) - see them at the top and bottom of this post. They look fun, together and effing stunning!

They have a new logo and I frigging love it:

(Interestingly...it looks like a slightly simpler version of the type used in the last Sugababes logo. Also, loving the use of dashes - elegant yumness galore.)

So, to conclude. I'm excited. You should be as well. I'll update when that all important single and album artwork arises...

p.s. I have loved Sugababes and ALL their members, from Day One. You'll find no hate for any of them hear, just excitement and support :)

PROMO PIC : lady gaga 'fame' fragrance poster

Oh wow, oh yes, oh yay! Gargs has unveiled the first official one sheet for her debut fragrance and it is stunning! Shot by Steven Klein, it evokes some 'Alejandro'-video realness (male bare bottoms and slicked back blonde hair :P). I love it, it's so Gaga, so gay, so dramatic and just the injection the industry needs. Can't wait for the advertisement!

NEW PROMO PIC : 'kylie fashion' book

The next surprise from the K25 celebrations is a new book from Ms. Minogue, it will chart her 25 years in pop through her iconic looks and fashions (including behind the scenes images, rare archival photography, video outtakes, fashion sketches, designs and ephemera). Kylie had this to say about the release:

‘This book charts my relationship with some of the most talented people in fashion throughout my career. It makes me very proud to see gathered together all the great designers and houses I’ve worked with over the years. Looking through my personal archives has been a real trip down memory lane and it is the fashion that brings back moments and memories of the last twenty-five years. Oooooh, yes! Alicia is on her way back - get ready! She just updated her facebook page with a new logo artwork (see above) and quite an interesting promo pic (below) - of her in front of a camera. This comes at the same time as a new track being unveiled, called 'New Day'. Check it allll out and look forward to her new music :)

NEW PROMO PIC : lana del rey 'national anthem' promo

So after revealing the very original and glamorous artwork for new single 'National Anthem' - she has now released a promo pic in the same black and white style (with her eyes covered by some of the song's lyrics). I'm assuming they are stills from the upcoming video and I'm getting essence of Jacki-O (JFK's wife) in this one and Marilyn Monroe (singing 'Happy Birthday' to the president) in the official cover...are we going to be seeing a Presidential theme in the new visual?

NEW PROMO PIC : chris brown releases more 'fortune' images

So as July 3rd approaches, Breezy is kicking the promo into overdrive to make sure his face is everywhere (for more of a positive reason...). Loving the first one, links into all the other visuals we've seen and fits quite nicely alongside the album cover etc...the second one does not. Spelling a word out with bodies has been done to death, there is no way to make it look original/sexy/good...IN ANY WAY! Here's hoping that is just a blip and the rest of the album's artwork is top notch!

NEW PROMO PIC : lady gaga 'fame' fragrance body & shower gel (?)

This picture has surfaced supposedly featuring the body gel and shower gel packages from Gaga's debut fragrance line. Take it with a pinch of salt, some of the alignments look a little bit off (it could be as it is LQ) - I'll update when I know for sure!

Delecious-ness awaits your hungry eyes below: Gaga has unveiled the bottle and packaging for her debut fragrance 'FAME'!! Stating on Twitter earlier today: "Looks like photos of my perfume are being leaked. Oh you fashion editors I could just crinkle my hands at you!". I had seen photos floating around the net, but didn't want to post anything (or ruin the surprise) until the official confirmation. Soooo, dive in below :D

Who else could pull off having a BLACK fragrance (which becomes "invisible once airborne" - as it states on the back of the packaging below) and the logotype harking back to her 'Fame' album era is a beautiful touch. She hasn't disappointed :)

UPDATE : The first advertisement poster has been unveiled! The tagline reads "The first ever black eau de parfum" - so they're really playing on that fact as it's unique selling point. Expect more posters unveiled closer to it's launch (hopefully sporting some new shots of Ms. Gaga).

UPDATE 2 : More and more pictures keep surfacing now :D This time, a fan has taken a photo of how the perfume's lid can also be used as a stand.... AMAZING!
