AND FINALLY to catch my Gaga posts up (oops) - here is the Jeff Koons designed album cover, which I am in love with! Drawing inspiration from the painting 'The Birth Of Venus', the artist used multiple techniques to make it. Koons created a new art piece (a sculpture of Gaga), which he photographed and collaged with images of the renaissance painting. He also hand crafted the typography, creating a bespoke font exclusive to the release. It is simply gorgeous!
Gaga also revealed that the first 500 000 copies of the album will have a specially foiled element to the type (how Koons intended it to look), which she uploaded images of to Twitter:
After the 'ARTPOP' era seemed to have quite a solid aesthetic to it at first...these promo singles (and the alternate covers for 'Venus') all feel so different, I'm really questioning how the album art will turn out, ha! But you can't argue with Stefani's buns...ooft!
...Or her gnarled teeth for that matter... Is anyone else getting Gorillaz vibes from this one?
The original second single from Gargs' 'ARTPOP' album, was unveiled to have three alternate artworks...all with a weirder look than the last. Check out the slightly NSFW, Steven Klein photographed pieces below...
Being touted not as another greatest hits collection, but the soundtrack to their recently released biopic (a great watch - check it out!). The cover is slick and draws upon their two best covers ('CrazySexyCool' and the logo from 'Fanmail'), so it's thumbs up from me :)

* BUMPER CHRISTMAS ALBUM POST * NEW ALBUM ARTWORK : kelly clarkson - wrapped in red, mary j blige - a mary christmas & tamar braxton - winter loverland
So, I held back from posting these albums (even though they were announced over two months ago...), as I was not about to be talking about sleigh bells and bellies like bowls full of jelly while the Summer was still hurr, ya hurr? But it's mid-October now, so I can be coaxed into some Christmas cover chit chat...but lets do it in one big post ;)
Kelly C's album artwork history has had some hits ('Breakaway'/'My December') and misses ('All I Ever Wanted' - ugh, the colour blocking...) and I think her festive release falls on the hit side of the fence. You can get away with a lot of cliche sap when it comes to Christmas visuals (looking at you Mariah), but KC keeps it 100% classy and it's working for me. Loving the little flair of the original-type of "red" and the more understated feel of the whole thing. 9/10
Mary wins on the album title front - ain't nobody going to beat some wordplay! The artwork is pretty much standard fair and could of done with some Kelly-esque typography to jazz it up. 6/10
Tamar only released her debut album a hot minute ago and already she be jumping on the Christmas market #GetMoney #RespectTheHustle! I feel she's gone for a less garish cover this time round, to match the content - but it just feels a little too wimpy to me :/ Liking the fonts though T! 6/10
You go Fanny! Finally getting to release a third single from an album :) Loving her Ghetto Vogue look she's rocking for this era's artwork. Make sure you listen to the single release of this song, more stripped back than the album version and it really adds to it.

ATTENTION SMILERS AND LOVERS OF ALTERNATE ARTWORKS!!
Majah artwork news about Miley's up coming 'Bangerz' album was announced today - the deluxe edition version of the release will have five (FIVE) alternate cover artworks. We have already been introduced to one (see above) and then today saw four websites unveil the other four. Check them out below and then join me at the bottom for some more artwork news!!
(Revealed by 'Love Magazine')
(Revealed by 'Popcrush')
(Revealed by 'Rolling Stone')
(Revealed by 'V Magazine')
AHHH! Now I already loved the original artworks that were released (Mileybird serving up lots of 80s realness and over the shoulder "I don't givva" stares), but these are sending me into overdrive! Now for the final bit of news:
Each cover will be released physically, and distributed randomly to retailers, to begin with. BUT! From now fans can vote for their favourite cover on her official Facebook page and the winner will become the 'official' deluxe edition cover from then on (got it? Good.)
SO! That means, four of the other covers will become limited edition!!!!!!!! And y'all know how much I love that word...which means I'm purchasing five copies of Miley's album... #uhoh
UPDATE: Also, head over to urturn.com to make a version of Miley's album using your image!

I know what she's going for...but I just feel it's a little too sloppy. You can tell the image is flawless behind and I'm loving the Janet Jackson 'Discipline'-era typeface...but it's just not readable with that read and the layering done the way it is. But the music will be killer, so we'll call it a draw.
Maybe something like this, the cover for her latest single 'All The Way Home', would've worked better?
Drake released two covers for his third album 'Nothing Was The Same' - showing his evolution from boy to man. The painting was created by artist Kadir Nelson, who was responsible for the artwork of Michael Jackson's posthumous release 'Michael'. Definitely getting some Notorious B.I.G. 'Ready To Die' vibes. I like, do you?
I was not expecting this at all - from the imagery she was unveiling during the 'We Can't Stop' release, the last thing I thought an album called 'Bangerz' would include was a peach colour tone, neon bulbs and palm trees. It's 'Miami Vice'-ness and I love it!
And the deluxe edition is serving up more 80s, tumblr yumness!
LOVING this - the growth in her image, styling and even that typeface (though I wish it was positioned and aligned a little more delicately, but you can't have it all). Yum.
