NEW SINGLE ARTWORK : nicole scherzinger - boomerang

Good lawd this is awful. 

So awful in fact I felt that the "5 ways in which Nicole Scherzinger's 'Boomerang' artwork is awful" rundown, was necessary....

1) That logo. Why are they still trying to make that logo work? It's use in the 'Killer Love' era wasn't iconic enough to then use it like it's a recognisable monogram, that must be stamped on everything associated with her... 

2) The over saturated lip look. Not since her tacky "Impress Press-On Manicure by Broadway Nails" endorsement has she had such a fashion related fail... 

3) That awkward box around "Boomerang". At first glance I thought it was a watermark from an over-enthusastic all things Aussie-related website. The boxing of type reminds me of the artist Example as well...never good.

4) Awkward brush marks + 5) Awkwardly coloured brush marks. What in the hell was the designer thinking?

"Hey! I want to make fans feel it's really easy to recreate this cover, lets use an effect that any Tom, Dick or Harry can get his hands on...and colour it purple and green."

A mess. Probably winner of 2012's worst cover...well done Scherzy.

lot's of fans gearing up for 1D's debut album...especially the limited edition version of the album!

people still checking for tinch's new song :)

another new entry! i think her performance of her latest song on x factor UK spurred interest in the fans to check out the artwork :)

this is the artwork appearing on the song's itunes... i don't like the use of white on the type, it drowns out the shapes of the letters against the stone wall. much prefer the original.

i had originally posted about the potential artwork for the re-release for 'killer love'... and unfortunately my fears came true...they basically kept the original cover and re-hashed the logos :/

nicks released the new video for latest single 'try with me' earlier today, it will act as the lead single for the forthcoming re-release of the 'killer love' album. an e-mail was sent out to fans announcing the re-release and that it was set to include 'try with me' and the 50 cent remix of 'right there', as well as two unheard songs: 'trust me i lie' and 'tomorrow never lies'. the e-mail also contained this image (below), is it the new artwork? new logo?...hopefully not, i was hoping my prayers would be answered that they'd take the artwork in a completely new (and better) direction...

one thing i am sure of is that the e-mail included the new "nicole scherzinger" logo type, that she'll be using for the re-release era, compared to the one from the original album and single artworks (below) you can see slight differences..she's taking it to "the next level" :)

the 'killer love' type seems to be legit as well...feels like a throwback to her logo from the doomed 'her name is nicole' days...

the 'killer love's artwork (the album, singles...except 'poison'... and these remix covers included) have had such an air of fan-made about them that just doesn't sit right with me...the logo, the "special FX" on the images...it's all meh! here's hoping the re-release gets a much needed reboot in the cover department...

and here's the 'right there (the remixes)' artwork, hadn't realised they'd "created" a cover for it...

really not sure if this is a fan-made or not, if it's yours please tell me :) i prefer it so much more then the other artwork haha, this whole era's artwork has been a mess in my opinion, except 'poison', that was hot tamale! though it's not held back her success, well done nicky.
