my new favourite girl group are back re-releasing the once smuttily titled 'fuck me'...as the more radio friendly 'love me' (featuring rent-a-rapper travis "travie" mccoy). the artwork is giving me some pure, 90s age, spice girl realness. i know everyone is saying these girls are bringing back the fab-five's style of attitude etc. etc., but you can really see it in this comic panel style layout: the personalities, the fashion, the fact that these laydees are certified saviours of pop music...love me some stooshe!

the main thing i like about will.i.am's latest artwork releases is the new "power" logo he's incorporating into his work, it's original and striking :D

NEW REMIX SINGLE ARTWORK : will.i.am - go home (ft. mick jagger & wolfgang gartner)

this is a kind of remix single...more of a re-working of 't.h.e. (the hardest ever)' (did we need another version?). i'm liking the artwork for will's latest solo efforts...i just think they'd hit harder (pun intended) if they didn't sit so closely to the design of b.e.p's last two albums, it kind of dulls the effect of them.

not long ago tinchy tweeted that he needed a new logo for his up coming EP with the grime rap unit ruff sqwad. think you could be the designer to help him out?

NEW LIMITED EDITION ARTWORK : florence + the machine - shake it out & no light no light (white vinyl edition)

flo flo has teamed up with karl lagerfeld (creative director of fashion giant "chanel") to create two limited edition printings of her singles 'shake it out' and 'no light no light'. the official statement reads: "each cover has been screen printed, silver foiled and hand numbered on pristine white card and features a unique series of photographic portraits personally taken by the fashion legend, which will remain exclusive to these releases.  each sleeve houses a heavyweight 180-gram 12" white vinyl contained in a black inner bag". both are limited to 500 copies each, excited?

DISCOVERED : azealia banks - needsumluv & 212 (ft. lazy jay)

the latest filthy mouthed femcee to appear in the game is azealia banks. the new york native has been appearing on a lot of "next big thing" lists for 2012 and she is set to give minaj a run for her dollars! 'needsumluv' is her latest release (set to appear on producer machinedrum's EP 'SXLND'...loving all these abbreviated/M.I.A. style titles!)

WE FINALLY HAVE A NEW ENTRY IN AT NUMBER ONE! 1d's reign has finally let up and taio has snook in with the lead single from his latest album. i've said it before, i'm really liking the new direction of his covers for his third album's artwork. well done ty.o!

2. (down one) one direction - up all night (limited yearbook edition)

well... their number one reign is over, but they still have two entries in the "most popular" this week, so i'm sure it won't keep them up at night.

3. (up one) jessie j - who you are (japan edition)

up another place this week for j-j-j-jessie! with 'domino' sneaking in at number one on the top 40 singles chart, lots more people are looking up her album artwork...even if it's the 'japan edition'.

4. (new entry) chris brown - strip (ft. kevin "k-mac" mccall)

new entry for mr. brown this week, his latest single (from the next album 'fortune') is steadily gaining more and more popularity. i'm hoping his next release really brings it with the album's cover, as 'f.a.m.e.'s was on fire!

5. (down three) one direction - gotta be you

i've only recently come into contact with steve's music, but y'all know i've been in love with wynter's jams for some tiiiime so i had to post this artwork! for me, i know what the designer was trying to do (the video has a 'mr & mrs smith' feel to it), but what in the lord were they thinking with that type (black outline is not not cute)...and turning the two of them into clipart characters?? not nice :/

this remix sounds amazzzzzing....so excited to hear the actual version of the song! obviously this is a buzz single cover, so not to worry that it is see-lightly pants...hoping that 'lexi serves up some artwork gold with a song title like that!

a subtle change (the title's colour now being salmon, not blue) but if i was the designer i wouldn't want to change much with this fee-lawless artwork!

i had originally posted this as the official artwork, but today saw the unveiling of the real cover to estelle's third album. simple, elegant, kinda l'oreal commercially. de-lovely.

p.s. that art-deco logo still gets me going! :D

riri just tweeted her latest single cover, i'm glad it's keeping in check with the rest of her visuals :) there were murmurs that kanye was going to be featured on the single mix...but with the absence of his name, i'm assuming that was a no go :(
