i've only recently come into contact with steve's music, but y'all know i've been in love with wynter's jams for some tiiiime so i had to post this artwork! for me, i know what the designer was trying to do (the video has a 'mr & mrs smith' feel to it), but what in the lord were they thinking with that type (black outline is not not cute)...and turning the two of them into clipart characters?? not nice :/

this remix sounds amazzzzzing....so excited to hear the actual version of the song! obviously this is a buzz single cover, so not to worry that it is see-lightly pants...hoping that 'lexi serves up some artwork gold with a song title like that!

a subtle change (the title's colour now being salmon, not blue) but if i was the designer i wouldn't want to change much with this fee-lawless artwork!

riri just tweeted her latest single cover, i'm glad it's keeping in check with the rest of her visuals :) there were murmurs that kanye was going to be featured on the single mix...but with the absence of his name, i'm assuming that was a no go :(

NEW SINGLE ARTWORK : amber rose - fame (ft. wiz khalifa)

so the shaven headed beauty has decided to step into the musical world (with help from boyfriend wiz, of course). the song is pretty standard (very cassie-esque) and the artwork holds it own as well...getting a kind of grace jones meets emeli sande vibe. the only problem i have with it is that the typefaces have all been used before wayyyy too many times...but that's just me :)

NEWS : marina and the diamonds has sorted her new album cover!

so marina has been taking some time out to put together her second album (titled 'electra heart'), set around a concept of an alter ego (you can never go wrong with one of those!) of hers. minutes ago on twitter, maz revealed more details about the mysterious new direction, saying that she's undertaken a "project" which she "shot" throughout america and europe. in this "shoot" she said she knew what would be the album cover..straight away after seeing it. i have a feeling it's going to be awesome. so glad she's going all out with the concept and visuals of this era.

well this came out of no where! 'lesha has teamed up with "weight watchers" to release a new single (which sounds vurrrry much like j-j-j-jessie j's 'price tag'...) that will inspire us all in the new year to move and shake and lose some pounds! artwork is pretty average: liking elements of her name's type but hating how spread out the single's title is, what is it aligned with?! not a complete travesty though...especially as it is being released under "weight watchers" very own record label (wtf?)

another new track to be feature don their upcoming greatest hits 'the singles'...previous readers will know i love me some goldfrapp artwork. this is another that doesn't disappoint! :D on point and flaw-free.

WEBSITE : iconic covers recreated in clipart!

everyone has come in contact with clipart. that awful, but still sometimes useful, archive of random images that people can throw onto their latest creation in microsoft word to spicen things up. now some vurrrry clever individual has decided to use clipart for something more useful... recreating iconic cover artwork. they're cheeky and have had me chuckling for a while, check out two of my favourites with this post and the rest of 'em here.

NEW EP ARTWORK & LOGO ARTWORK : chelsea korka - the E.P.

once a potential new pussycat doll, then a paradiso girl...now a solo starlet :) chels' is set to release her solo EP this year and begin her journey (again) for chart success! the music i've heard is strong and current, but the artwork and logo (even in LQ form) are weak and dated as all hell :/ you can tell what she's aiming for...but it's not hitting the nail on the head with that "selena gomez circa 2009" styling and type. at the moment the release is still "coming soon", so there's time for a rearrange...starting with the font of 'the E.P.', that is just plain awful.

p.s. will update with the HQ versions, maybe they look better with more pixels...

so will 2012 be the year teyana FINALLY releases the album we've been waiting for? first of will be an EP titled 'the misunderstanding of teyana taylor' (inspired by lauryn hill's classic debut album...) and this single is set to be included...

and so the new year of music and artworks begins!! excited?
